Linus Woods
Linus Woods is from Long Plains First Nation in Manitoba, the same
community which in the previous generation brought Clemence Wescoupe,
Garry Meeches and Cyril Assiniboine to the forefront of Canadian
Aboriginal art in Canada.
Linus Woods has just completed a successful involvement with “Close
Encounters–the next 500 years” a multi-media international which runs
in Winnipeg from January-April, 2011,in Winnipeg MB.
Prior to this event, he has numerous one-artist and been involved in
group and theme shows across Canada.
Linus Woods does love his spaceships–and in addition to this theme has
also done many images including his Rabbits on the Rez, horse society
and horse and rider, coyotes and Elk Dreamers. |
